Welcome to the latest post in our “Employee Q&A” series, where we interview an employee to reflect on their career and experience at 3D Cloud™. Part of our success is mainly due to our people. So, we’re excited to feature a hardworking team member to learn about their journey at 3D Cloud.

This week, we spotlight Bryan Wilson, Associate Account Director for the Home and Office vertical team at 3D Cloud™. Let’s read on to learn more!

Bryan, how did you learn about 3D Cloud™, and what is your current role at the company?

I was working for an ad agency here in Dayton at the time that had a shared client with 3D Cloud, so I was aware of what we were doing at the time. I applied, and once I talked to Casey for the first time, I was sold. My current role is Associate Account Director for the Home and Office vertical team. Previously, I was in Project Management and QA.

What does your role consist of?

A lot. Primarily, I would summarize it as ensuring that my clients are successful, the project managers who report to me are successful, and that I am setting the team up for success in their functions and projects. Sometimes, there are large strategic discussions about the direction of a client and their roadmap a year out; sometimes, it’s taking the “grunt” work from the spreadsheet of 100 things because the rest of the team is booked. It changes every day, and I love that part.

What do you think is the most important skill that you bring to the table?

Critical thinking.

How do you motivate yourself at work? Do you have any secret tips?

I truly care about the people I work with, and I know that my effort on a day-to-day basis will reflect in their success as well, and I take that personally. We also have amazing clients to work with, and there’s a lot of fulfillment to be found there. Coffee doesn’t hurt, either.

(My teammates have heard this a million times) but my secret tip is to take 5 minutes every morning to look at your calendar and to-do list and form your own plan. I do this over coffee, and it helps me orient and prioritize my day.

What are three words to describe 3D Cloud?

Innovative, Exciting, and Challenging.

What is the best advice you could give to someone who just started a career at 3D Cloud?

Ask for help. The people here are so beyond willing to share their knowledge, and it will help you immensely. I learned half the skills I know from the other people here.

What have you gained from working at 3D Cloud?

So many things – leadership skills, public speaking abilities, etc. But also a great group of friends and people I can rely on for anything. It’s thrown around a lot, but the folks here are like family, especially my direct team. Shoutout to the Wyld Stallyns!

Who are some of your biggest inspirations at 3D Cloud, and why?

Oh, I love this question.

  1. Jo Anne Brenzo – she’s just the best and got me into project management
  2. Saundra Baughman – She is the epitome of consistency and supporting people around her.
  3. Shawn Rothery – We could all be more like Shawn and his support of others and generally upbeat outlook.

And last but not least, my longtime leader, Vince Kilian. He has pushed me hard when I needed it and always believed in me.

What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?

I want to do the John Muir Trail.

What is one food you can’t resist? Pizza? Ice Cream?

……Cottage Cheese. Or Mike and Ike’s. I would gladly eat either of them during a movie.

Thank you, Bryan, for taking the time to share insights about yourself and your journey at 3D Cloud™. We appreciate your motivational advice on bringing positive energy each day and the important skills you bring to the table.
