This week, we spotlight Noelle Baus, Senior QA Analyst at 3D Cloud™. Let’s read on to learn more!
Noelle, how did you learn about 3D Cloud™, and what is your current role at the company?
At my previous job, I kind of fell into QA through a season role testing their new website. This seasonal role turned into a career in QA. I eventually heard about 3D Cloud™ when several ladies I used to work with in that QA department began working for 3D Cloud
and Magnetic Mobile. Currently, I am a Senior QA Analyst for the DIY Vertical.
What does your role consist of?
Quality Assurance testing of our DIY apps, with a primary focus on Lowe’s Kitchen and Decking. Some would also consider me to be an expert in Blueprint and Magic Rooms.
What do you think is the most important skill that you bring to the table?
I think my background in art allows me to view the apps I test in a unique way. Additionally, I am inherently very curious, which is extremely helpful during testing.
How do you motivate yourself at work? Do you have any secret tips?
I am always thinking of the end user. That is one of my passions, the customer experience. When I am testing, I think of how a customer would feel about this or that. Also, being an integral part of making 3D Cloud the leader in the virtual DIY is immensely rewarding. It is easy to stay motivated when you are fascinated by your work.
What are three words to describe 3D Cloud?
Cutting Edge, Innovative, AGILE
What is the best advice you could give to someone who just started a career at 3D Cloud?
Be patient, and don’t give up. There is A LOT to learn, and your best asset is seasoned employees. Don’t be afraid to reach out to get the information you need. We are all here to help and support each other.
What have you gained from working at 3D Cloud?
I think over my five years with 3D Cloud, I have gained a lot of self-confidence. Having to be solely responsible for QA testing of HUGE releases has definitely helped me gain confidence in myself.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations at 3D Cloud, and why?
Iris Igawa was my mentor and lead during some of my time in QA at my previous job. She has always been an inspiration to me and an incredible source of knowledge and experience.
Saundra Baughman is another inspiration that began at our previous job. We worked closely together on the weekends and formed a deep bond. She is now my lead in DIY QA, and I could not be happier with her leadership.
What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?
I would love to one day travel overseas to visit Greece and Italy.
What is one food you can’t resist? Pizza? Ice Cream?
Crispy shredded beef tacos! 🌮🌮🌮
