While strides have been made towards gender diversity, the industry lags behind others. At 3D Cloud®, we stand behind and empower outstanding women propelling the industry forward. So, grab your favorite brew, take a seat, and delve into the inspiring journey of —

Tiffany Harants.

We can start with how you landed in the furniture industry. Can you tell us about that?

Tiffany Harants: My first role in the furniture industry was as a freelance Asset Coordinator, where I gained hands-on experience managing product data, visual assets, and 3D workflows that support both E-Commerce and Marketing. That role taught me how furniture products move from Merchandising input to digital launch, and how accuracy in dimensions, materials, and configurations directly impacts the customer experience.

What steps did you take to become the Senior Program Manager of Living Spaces Furniture?

TH: My path to my current role started with an educational foundation in the humanities and psychology, which shaped how I think about people, behavior, and communication. Early in my career, I worked as a Behavior Technician, where I developed skills in observation, structure, empathy, and data‑driven decision‑making that still influence my leadership style today. The pandemic prompted me to rethink my career path, leading me to earn a project management certification and build my 3D fundamentals through self‑directed learning, which was a defining pivot in my professional growth. I then transitioned into the furniture industry through an Asset Coordinator role, which became a launching point for managing 3D projects and programs end‑to‑end. Today, as a Senior Program Manager, I lead scalable initiatives that connect technology, design, and customer impact.

What do you love about working in the furniture industry?

TH: I see furniture as deeply personal. It’s not just about products; it’s about how people live, gather, rest, and create memories in their homes. What I love about this industry is that the work has a direct impact on everyday life. At Living Spaces, we’re constantly thinking about accessibility, value, and inspiration. Being able to combine technology, such as 3D visualization, with lifestyle storytelling to help customers feel confident in their decisions is incredibly rewarding.

What are some unique challenges of a career in furniture?

TH: Furniture can be complex, from lead times and customization to scale, logistics, data, and customer expectations. Digitally, it’s also challenging to accurately represent materials, comfort, and scale online. From a 3D perspective, the challenge is balancing speed, accuracy, and realism while supporting multiple teams and channels. But those challenges are also what make the work exciting. There is always an opportunity to improve the experience through innovation.

Is there a project or success story you are most proud of?

TH: I’m most proud of the work we’ve done to scale and evolve our 3D ecosystem at Living Spaces. From continuously enhancing configuration experiences to optimizing our 3D asset pipeline and aligning stakeholders around a shared vision, these efforts have translated into increased customer confidence and stronger cross‑functional collaboration. I’m particularly proud of the launch and expansion of our Sectional Builder tool, which currently supports visualization and customization across more than 130 sectional collections. Seeing how that capability directly impacts both the guest experience and the business has been incredibly fulfilling.

What advice would you give to younger women considering a career in the furniture industry today?

TH: Don’t underestimate how valuable your perspective is. This industry needs diverse voices, especially women who bring empathy, creativity, and strategic thinking to the table. Be curious, ask questions, and don’t wait until you feel “ready” to raise your hand for opportunities. Growth often happens before confidence catches up.

How important is having a network of other women as you mature in your career?

TH: Having a strong network of women I admire and trust has been incredibly important as I’ve grown in my career. That sense of community creates a safe space to talk through challenges, exchange perspectives, and continue learning and growing together. I’m incredibly grateful that Living Spaces provides meaningful spaces for women in leadership, where I’ve been able to build connections with amazing women across the business in diverse roles. I’m equally grateful for the many male allies I work alongside who listen, advocate, and actively support inclusive leadership by creating space, offering trust, and championing growth.

If you could offer your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

TH: If I could offer my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to let go of the fear of changing direction. Early in my career, I thought growth meant following a straight, predictable path. I’ve learned that the most meaningful progress comes from being willing to pivot and take risks. Each time I chose to step into something new, a different function, a more visible role, or an unfamiliar challenge, it opened doors I couldn’t have planned for.

What values are most important to you as a leader?

TH: For me, leadership is about removing obstacles, creating clarity, and enabling others to do their best work. I value listening before acting, understanding different perspectives, and supporting my team in ways that help them grow. For me, this looks like advocating for my team, translating complexity across functions, and making sure the work we do is connected to a clear purpose and customer impact. I believe strong outcomes come from trust, empowerment, and shared ownership. When people feel supported, heard, and set up for success, they do incredible work, and that’s the kind of environment I strive to build.

What keeps you energized?

TH: What keeps me energized is seeing how 3D visualization brings Living Spaces products to life while removing uncertainty for our guests. Furniture is a high‑consideration purchase, and 3D helps customers clearly understand scale, configuration, and materials so they can imagine how a piece fits into their home and lifestyle. That ability to turn complexity into clarity and help guests feel confident and excited about their decision makes the work meaningful and motivating for me.

Tiffany’s career journey highlights how an unconventional path rooted in the humanities, psychology, and behavioral science can serve as a powerful foundation for leadership in the furniture industry. By embracing pivots, investing in self-directed learning, and combining empathy with data-driven thinking, she continues to scale innovative 3D experiences at Living Spaces that help customers feel confident and inspired in every purchase decision.

Thank you, Tiffany, for sharing your career journey with us.
