3D Cloud today released findings from its 2026 Furniture Shopping Trends Study, revealing that 3D visualization tools are directly influencing higher-ticket purchases and improving in-store satisfaction.

The study found that in-store shoppers who used 3D tools with a salesperson were 67% more likely to make purchases of $2,500+ or more and 32% more likely to report being “very satisfied.” Hybrid shoppers, now the largest buying segment, purchase 57% more furniture pieces than in-store-only shoppers.

While 87% of shoppers work with a salesperson in-store, only 30% report that 3D visualization was used, highlighting a significant opportunity for retailers.

“Consumers want to see exactly what they’re buying before they spend. Retailers that make that easy are seeing stronger satisfaction and larger baskets.” – Beck Besecker, 3D Cloud CEO and Co-Founder

The full 2026 Furniture Shopping Trends Study includes deeper insights into hybrid behavior, generational trends, customization patterns, and the financial impact of 3D planners and configurators.
