This week, we spotlight Samantha Mullenax, QA Software Analyst at 3D Cloud™. Let’s read on to learn more!
Samantha, how did you learn about 3D Cloud™, and what is your current role at the company?
My partner had heard of the company and encouraged me to apply when I saw an application for a QA Software Analyst position on LinkedIn, which is also my current role.
What does your role consist of?
Testing all our applications to ensure we are sending out quality products, writing up bug tickets, and coming up with test plans for new upgrades and features. Specifically, I’m part of the DIY team, so I assist with testing Lowe’s Kitchen and Decking, Placemaker, Mico, B&Q, Frontgate, etc.
What do you think is the most important skill that you bring to the table?
My attention to detail.
How do you motivate yourself at work? Do you have any secret tips?
No secret tips. I love what I do, sometimes, I make versions of my own house while testing and designing my dream home.
What are three words to describe 3D Cloud?
Innovative, Fun, Fast-Paced
What is the best advice you could give to someone who just started a career at 3D Cloud?
Take every opportunity you can to dive into the applications that we have for our clients. We have a range of products from configurations to entire room planners, and we cover many companies in the home vertical (kitchens, bathrooms, and general indoor/outdoor furniture).
What have you gained from working at 3D Cloud?
Knowledge about each of our clients and confidence about my own work. I feel empowered to go and explore things on my own and voice any suggestions/ideas/critiques that I have. 3D Cloud™ has helped me grow in my chosen field.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations at 3D Cloud, and why?
Iris Igawa because she has such an amazing capability to know what’s going on with a wide range of applications. Her leadership over our QA team is top-notch. Tracey Stephenson, Saundra Baughman, and Noelle Baus as well. They are always willing to lend a hand to others, and it’s truly been a pleasure working with such self-motivated and knowledgeable individuals.
What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?
I want to travel around Europe at least once. I’ve been to nine different countries, and not a single one of them has been in Europe.
What is one food you can’t resist? Pizza? Ice Cream?
Cadbury Cream Eggs. My only saving grace for not eating them all year is that you can’t find them in the United States until Easter.
